180/365 – Alive.
When I go to a live concert I often think about why I do it. What is relevant in listening to music I already know, sometimes even too well, in a live version? What’s the difference in the performance, especially if you are in the middle of other 40000 people?
And each time the answer is different: the experience, the heat of the other people, the risk of trying something new and different live, the beauty of the movement and energy of something happening right there in the moment.
Creativity is all about that and the same feeling. Creating means almost always repeating something in a new way, noticing the difference, enjoying the improvisation and uncertainty of the dynamics. Doing something every day is similar to performing a live song every night: you know how it sounds, you know you can do it well, all you have to do is to live it as if it were the first time you played it and see what happens.
