68/365 – Priorities…

68/365 – Priorities…

I often find myself overwhelmed by things to do or that I’m simply thinking about. Ideas (indeed), issues, lists, requests, e-mails, thoughts…And when in that condition, I feel it’s hard to choose.
In another post, I wrote about being able to make lists and use them to drive our agenda.
In another one, I wrote about taking a walk around the block.

Yesterday I was looking at the Oblique Strategies Cards by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt and I picked up one that said:
make a list of things to do in order of priority and start from the last one.

It made me think about the concept of “priorities” and how I play with it. I love lists, and that’s a given. I love getting things done, and that’s well known. I also like to set priorities and really jump into them. A list is nothing if you don’t know where to start and that’s something very relevant to everybody’s creative process. Setting up a priority (THE”the” priority, I would say) is what will make you start the process of creation and will save you from losing track of your steps.
Make it one, make it relevant, and start from the last one!
