360/365 – Looking Back.

360/365 – Looking Back.

Towards the end, we tend to start looking back and draft conclusions. What worked, what didn’t, what could be better…

And it’s ok, it’s natural and part of the process, but we shouldn’t get stuck in there. Creativity is not about looking backward as much as it is looking forward, to what it is not yet there and not to what it has been. The past, what has been, is always a good start for what we have to do yet and not an excuse to stay where we are and look at what we have been.

Ideas come from a form of past, we should always be conscious and acknowledge where we come from, but just like when we are driving, our attention should be to the front of the vehicle and the destination we are trying to reach and not to the past and what we are leaving. It helps, also, to avoid any sort of accident…

…”I took a drive today
Time to emancipate
I guess it was the beatings made me wise
But I’m not about to give thanks, or apologize”…
