19/365 – The Permission to Be a Beginner.

So that’s what I’m doing: I’m writing.
I never considered myself a great writer nor a great reader and that’s what I recently started to do more intensively. The final ambition of this Blog is to have enough good material to publish a book about the topic of “idea generation”; at least this is what I’m currently envisioning.
And so I just realized that what I’m doing is mostly writing. Nothing I never really practiced or took lessons about. Again, I’m applying one of my favorite principles: I’m Learning by Doing. It doesn’t make it easy (and it’s all in English!) to do and it doesn’t ensure success, but I’m willing to take the risk.

The reason why I’m ok with it is that in fact there is no risk involved because I am indeed a Beginner and I start from that fact. We should all take a chance to go back to the time and space where we didn’t know how to do things and we weren’t afraid of being judged or chose for it. I look at my kids and that’s what I see all the time: the moments they are happier are those where they experiment without an end in mind and actually I just want to do the same.

Creativity is about that, ideas come from that source and that’s where I am right now.
Not a bad place to be.
